PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MEDIA GRAFIS TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MEMBACA PERMULAAN SISWA KELAS I SD INPRES BONTOMANAI KOTA MAKASSAR

This study aims to determine the effect of using graphic media on the early reading skills of first-grade students at SD Inpres Bontomanai, Tamalate District, Makassar City. The research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental method and a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 students. The research instrument was an early reading test administered before and after learning activities using graphic media. The results showed that the average score increased from 49.47 on the pretest to 80.00 on the posttest. The percentage of students in the “poor” category decreased from 70% to 5%, while the “good” and “excellent” categories increased significantly. A paired t-test showed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results.
