PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SINERGI PADA MATERI PERUBAHAN BENTUK ENERGI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA KELAS IV SD

Abstract

Students' critical thinking skills in elementary schools are one of the important competencies in 21st-century learning. However, students' critical thinking skills in science learning have not yet developed optimally. In addition, the use of less varied learning media causes students to be less active and less interested in participating in learning. Therefore, this study aims to develop SINERGI learning media to help improve the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students on the material of changes in energy forms. This study uses the research and development method (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model. The research subjects involved fourth-grade students in three elementary schools, namely SDN Simomulyo, SDN Simomulyo IV, and SDN Simomulyo V. Data collection was carried out through material and media expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, as well as pretests and posttests that were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study indicate that the SINERGI learning media is in the "Very Valid", "Very Practical" and "Effective" categories. SINERGI media is able to help students improve critical thinking skills such as identifying problems, analyzing information, concluding, and developing problem-solving strategies. This media can be used as an alternative learning media to support improving critical thinking skills as part of the 21st century learning needs in elementary schools.
