PENDAPATAN NASIONAL DAN PERTUMBUHAN EKONOMI SERTA DAMPAKNYA DALAM KONTEKS PEMBELAJARAN IPS

Abstract

National income and economic growth are important indicators for assessing economic performance and societal welfare. This article aims to examine the concepts of national income and economic growth and their impacts on employment and unemployment within the context of Social Studies learning. The method employed is a literature review by analyzing relevant economics textbooks and scientific journal articles. The findings indicate that national income is influenced by natural resources, labor quality, investment, technological development, and government policies, while economic growth contributes to job creation but may lead to inequality if it is not accompanied by equitable development and improvements in human resource quality. Therefore, national income and economic growth can be utilized as contextual learning materials in Social Studies to enhance students’ economic literacy and understanding of real-world economic issues.
