Abstract

ABSTRACT

This investigation is based on the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students in the subject of IPAS at State Elementary School 11 Riau Silip. According to the research findings, 21 out of 30 students failed to meet the minimum learning achievement requirements. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effectivene of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model in improving. The study employs quantitative methods and utilizes a pre-test/post-test design for a pre-experimental group. A total of 30 fourth-grade students were used as the participants. Data were gathered through pre-tests and post-tests and subsequently analyzed using for validity, reliability, and normal distribution using a paired t-test. The data show a significant increase in the mean score (post-test score from 44.06 to 82.40. The hypothesis test results indicate a sign 0.000 (< 0.05), meaning the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Consequently, the fourth-grade students at State Elementary School 11 Riau Silip achieved better learning outcomes in IPAS through the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model.
