This study aims to describe the implementation of the joyful learning approach in improving students' learning motivation at SD Negeri Purwasedar Jampangkulon. Low learning motivation among sixth-grade students is a recurring problem encountered in daily learning activities, particularly when conventional approaches are used and students are not actively engaged. The joyful learning approach offers a solution by creating a fun, meaningful, and student-centered learning environment. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study design. The research subjects were 26 sixth-grade students at SD Negeri Purwasedar Jampangkulon. Data collection techniques included participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used the interactive model of Miles and Huberman through stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of joyful learning through educational games, ice-breaking activities, and collaborative learning successfully improved students' learning motivation, as evidenced by increased activity, enthusiasm, and engagement in learning. This study recommends that the joyful learning approach be consistently and systematically applied by elementary school teachers as a strategy for creating a positive and productive learning climate.
