PEMBELAJARAN AL- QURAN UNTUK ANAK USIA DINI MELALUI METODE QIROATI DI TPQ AL- FALLAH BOBOSAN PURWOKERTO

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Qiro’ati method in Qur’anic learning for early childhood at TPQ Al-Falah, North Purwokerto, and to examine its effectiveness in developing children’s ability to read the Qur’an according to the rules of tajwid. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The study focused on the learning process, the characteristics of the Qiro’ati method, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation for young children. The findings revealed that the Qiro’ati method, which is structured, sequential, and based on mastery learning principles, effectively supports the gradual development of children’s Qur’anic reading skills. The combination of classical and individual learning approaches, supported by imitation, repetition, and listening habituation techniques, helped children recognize Arabic letters, improve pronunciation, and enhance self-confidence. The effectiveness of the method was also influenced by qualified teachers, appropriate instructional strategies, and family support. However, several challenges were identified, including children’s limited attention span, waiting time during individual sessions, and differences in learning abilities among students. Therefore, more varied and play-based learning innovations are needed to increase children’s engagement. Overall, the Qiro’ati method is considered an effective approach for Qur’anic learning in early childhood, provided that it is supported by adaptive pedagogical strategies, collaboration between teachers and parents, and a conducive learning environment.
