IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM MERDEKA PADA MATA PELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN PANCASILA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 14 MATARAM

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Pancasila Education lessons for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 14 Mataram, covering planning, implementation, and evaluation in fourth-grade Pancasila Education lessons. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach to understand social phenomena comprehensively and in depth without manipulation. The school principal, the vice principal for curriculum, and the fifth-grade homeroom teacher were designated as research subjects. Three techniques were used to collect data: observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that during the planning stage, teachers developed instructional materials that included Learning Outcomes, Learning Objectives, Learning Objective Sequences, and teaching modules tailored to student characteristics. During the implementation process, learning was conducted through opening, core, and closing activities by applying principles focused on students, flexibility, and the integration of the values of the Pancasila Student Profile. In the evaluation stage, teachers utilized diagnostic, formative, and summative assessments to comprehensively evaluate students’ progress and learning outcomes. However, the implementation of instruction was not yet fully effective due to remaining constraints related to limited facilities and infrastructure as well as teacher readiness. Therefore, it is important to enhance teachers’ capabilities and provide the necessary facilities to make the teaching and learning process more efficient.
