Language plays a vital role in social life, not only as a tool for communication but also as a means of fostering solidarity and group identity. This study aims to identify the forms of social speech acts used by members of a motorcycle community, understand the role of speech acts in strengthening solidarity, and analyze the function of language as a marker of group identity. The study employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques including participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The research subjects are members of the Slordig Utara motorcycle community at Angkringan Atra, Medan. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The theoretical framework used is John Searle’s speech act theory. The results of the study indicate that the dominant speech acts used are directive and expressive, such as greetings, invitations, expressions of support, and humor. Social speech acts play a crucial role in fostering a sense of kinship, empathy, care, and shared commitment among members. In addition, the use of communityspecific language such as code-mixing, abbreviations, and specialized terms serves as a marker of identity that distinguishes motorcycle communities from other social groups. Thus, language functions both as a means of communication and as a reinforcer of solidarity and group identity.
