Abstract

This study was conducted due to the low learning interest of fifth-grade students in learning data analysis and probability. To overcome this problem, the researcher implemented the Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) cooperative learning model assisted by data dice media. The study aimed to improve students’ curiosity, enthusiasm, and participation in the learning process. This research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were fifth-grade elementary school students. Data were collected through observation and analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches. The results showed that the implementation of the STAD learning model supported by data dice media was able to improve students’ learning interest, as indicated by increased student activeness, attention, enthusiasm, and involvement during the learning process in each cycle. Students became more engaged in discussions, actively participated in group activities, and showed greater motivation in completing learning tasks. Therefore, it can be concluded that the STAD cooperative learning model assisted by data dice media was effective in improving students’ interest in learning data analysis and probability.
