Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of the Problem Based Learning  model assisted by audio-visual media in improving mathematics learning outcomes on multiplication material for third-grade elementary school students. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing various sources such as books and scientific journals relevant to the research topic. Data collection techniques were carried out through searching, selecting, and analyzing literature related to the PBL model, audio-visual media, and mathematics learning in elementary schools. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the PBL model supported by audio-visual media can improve students’ understanding of multiplication concepts, critical thinking skills, and active participation in the learning process. Audio-visual media helps present material in a more concrete and engaging way, making it easier for students to understand abstract mathematical concepts. Therefore, the PBL model assisted by audio-visual media has the potential to effectively improve elementary students’ mathematics learning outcomes
