PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PROBLEM-BASED LEARNING (PBL) TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA MATERI ADA APA SAJA DI BUMI KITA KELAS V SDK SANTO YOSEPH 2 NAIKOTEN

Abstract

The low learning outcomes of students in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS) remain a challenge in the learning process. One effort to address this issue is the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model, which encourages students to think critically and solve problems actively. This study aimed to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' learning outcomes in the topic “What Exists on Our Earth?” among fifth-grade students at SDK Santo Yoseph 2 Kupang. This study employed a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 34 students selected using a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected through tests, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using the Shapiro-Wilk normality test and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. The results showed that the mean pretest score of 46.91 increased to 85.00 in the posttest. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test indicated that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model had a significant effect on students' learning outcomes. Therefore, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective in improving students' learning outcomes in Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS).
