Low learning motivation and classroom fatigue among seventh-grade students at MTs Negeri 2 Lampung Tengah prompted an investigation into recreational walking activities as a means of supporting learning motivation. This study aimed to describe the implementation of recreational walking activities, examine their role in students' learning motivation, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through observation, questionnaires, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The participants included 174 seventh-grade students, the principal, a physical education teacher, and six homeroom teachers. Data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation. The findings revealed that 171 students (98.28%) reported positive experiences and increased enthusiasm for learning after participating in recreational walking activities, while two students (1.15%) reported no noticeable change and one student (0.57%) did not experience increased motivation. Observations and interviews indicated improvements in students' enthusiasm, attention, classroom participation, and readiness to learn. The activities also provided physical and psychological refreshment, reduced boredom, and encouraged positive social interactions. However, maintaining student discipline remained a challenge. These findings suggest that recreational walking activities can support a positive learning environment and students' perceived learning motivation, although a causal relationship cannot be established through this descriptive study.
