PENERAPAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE THINK-PAIR-SHARE (TPS) UNTUK MENINGKATKAN HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA MATERI BANGUN DATAR PADA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI 6 SERAYA

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes on plane geometry topics among fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 6 Seraya. The purpose of this study was to improve students’ mathematics learning outcomes through the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) cooperative learning model. This research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles, with fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 6 Seraya as the subjects. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests and analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The results showed that the implementation of the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) model improved students’ learning outcomes, as indicated by the increase in mastery learning from the pre-cycle to cycle I and cycle II. In addition, students’ activity and participation in the learning process also increased. Therefore, the Think-Pair-Share (TPS) learning model is effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes on plane geometry topics for fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 6 Seraya.
