ANALISIS PENGEMBANGAN KURIKULUM PENDIDIKAN EKONOMI DALAM MEMPERSIAPKAN GENERASI MASA DEPAN

Abstract

Economic education plays a crucial role in equipping the future generation with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle global economic challenges. The curriculum of economic education serves as the main foundation in providing comprehensive understanding of economic concepts and decision-making skills to students. However, facing dynamic changes in the global economy, the curriculum of economic education encounters various challenges and opportunities. This article aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities in the curriculum of economic education in preparing the future generation. We identify challenges such as the need for curriculum renewal to reflect the dynamics of modern economics, integration of information and communication technology (ICT) in learning, and increased awareness of global economic issues such as income inequality and disparities. On the other hand, the article also identifies opportunities such as the development of more interactive and innovative curriculum, collaboration with industries to align learning with workforce needs, and the implementation of project-based learning approaches to enhance practical skills. We conclude by emphasizing the importance of rapid response and adaptation to changes in the curriculum of economic education to ensure that the future generation is equipped with relevant knowledge and skills to address the complexities of the global economy.
