BAIT AL-HIKMAH KE SMART CLASSROOM: EVOLUSI GAGASAN PENDIDIKAN ISLAM DALAM LINTASAN SEJARAH DAN TEKNOLOGI

Abstract

Islamic education experienced its peak during the time of Bait al-Hikmah, which became the intellectual and scientific center of the Islamic world. However, in the context of the current digital era, the transformation of classical Islamic education values and methods into modern forms of learning, such as smart classrooms, has not been studied in depth. This research aims to trace the evolution of Islamic education ideas from the classical period to the technological era, and examine its relevance to the development of the 21st century learning system. This research uses a qualitative approach with the method used is library research with historical-critical and hermeneutic approaches. The research stages include reviewing classical literature, identifying educational principles from figures such as Al-Ghazali, Ibn Sina, and Al-Farabi, and integrative analysis of modern learning theories such as constructivism and Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK). The results show the continuity of values such as the unity of knowledge and morals, the importance of the role of the teacher, and a holistic approach that remains relevant in the context of technology-based education. The discussion shows the need for a transhistorical model of Islamic education, which not only maintains the essential values of classical heritage, but is also responsive to technological developments and the needs of the times. This research makes a conceptual contribution to the design of value-based, adaptive and sustainable Islamic education.
