This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students caused by the teacher-centered learning process, which causes students to memorize formulas without understanding the concepts in depth. This condition results in students experiencing difficulties in solving problems that require critical and analytical thinking skills. This study aims to determine the effect of the deep learning approach on the mathematics learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SDN 190 Pekanbaru. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental Design in the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research sample consists of class IV A as the control class and class IV B as the experimental class. Data collection techniques were carried out through pretest and posttest tests, while data analysis used normality, homogeneity, linearity, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that the average pretest score of the experimental class was 57.22, increasing to 88.33 in the posttest. In addition, the results of the hypothesis test obtained a significance value of 0.000 <0.05, indicating that the deep learning approach has a significant effect on students' mathematics learning outcomes. This approach is able to increase students' active involvement in learning, encourage deep thinking skills, and help students understand mathematical concepts in a more meaningful and contextual way so that student learning outcomes experience significant improvements.
