This study aims to analyze the implementation of lifelong education through community-based literacy programs at Taman Baca Masyarakat Mari Baca Bersama (TBM MABAR) in Desa Sigara-gara, Kecamatan Patumbak, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving TBM founders, administrators, and volunteers. The findings reveal that TBM MABAR implements lifelong education principles through various inclusive and sustainable literacy programs such as read-aloud workshops, weekly literacy activities, religious-based learning, and community collaborations. These programs not only provide access to reading materials but also foster active participation from families, educators, and volunteers. Furthermore, TBM MABAR functions as a literacy service provider, a community empowerment agent, and a facilitator of cross-sector collaboration. Despite challenges such as limited resources and reliance on volunteerism, TBM MABAR demonstrates that community-based nonformal education can effectively promote lifelong learning and strengthen literacy culture in rural communities.
