PENOKOHOHAN MR.WONKA DALAM NOVEL CHARLIE AND THE GREAT GLASS ELEVATOR KARYA ROALD DAHL

Abstract

This study aims to describe the characterization od Mr. Wonka in Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator and to identify the characterization technique used by author. This research employed a descriptive qualitative method with a dramatic approach. The data were collected from dialogues, actions, and narrative descriptions portraying character. The study also found that the author develops both characters primarily through dramatic characterization, including dialogue, actions, other character’s reactions, and events in the story.
