PENGEMBANGAN MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN SINERGI PADA MATERI PERUBAHAN BENTUK ENERGI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA KELAS IV SD

Abstract

Students’ critical thinking skills in elementary school are one of the essential competencies in 21st-century learning. However, students’ critical thinking skills in IPAS learning have not yet developed optimally. In addition, the limited variety of learning media causes students to be less active and less interested in participating in the learning process. Therefore, this study aims to develop SINERGI learning media to help improve the critical thinking skills of fourth-grade elementary school students on the topic of energy transformation. This study employed a Research and Development method using the ADDIE model. The research subjects involved fourth-grade students from three elementary schools, namely SDN Simomulyo, SDN Simomulyo IV, and SDN Simomulyo V. Data were collected through material and media expert validation sheets, teacher and student response questionnaires, as well as pretests and posttests, which were analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively.The results showed that the SINERGI learning media was categorized as “Highly Valid,” “Highly Practical,” and “Effective.” SINERGI media was able to assist students in improving critical thinking skills, such as identifying problems, analyzing information, drawing conclusions, and developing problem-solving strategies. This media can be used as an alternative learning medium to support the improvement of critical thinking skills as part of the needs of 21st-century learning in elementary schools.
