This research was motivated by the importance of collaboration skills as one of the 21st-century competencies that elementary school students need to possess; however, these skills have not yet developed optimally. One factor that is presumed to influence collaboration skills is self-regulation. This study aimed to examine the effect of self-regulation on the collaboration skills of elementary school students in South Tangerang City. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of 231 fifth-grade students from three public elementary schools in South Tangerang City, with a sample of 76 students selected using the simple random sampling technique. The research instruments consisted of a self-regulation questionnaire and a collaboration skills questionnaire, each comprising 12 statement items. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis, normality testing, linearity testing, and simple linear regression analysis assisted by IBM SPSS Statistics version 27. The results showed that self-regulation had a positive and significant effect on students' collaboration skills. The regression analysis produced the equation Y = 16.681 + 0.630X, with an F-value of 15.004 and a significance value of < 0.001. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.169 indicated that self-regulation contributed 16.9% to students' collaboration skills, while the remaining 83.1% was influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. Thus, the better the students' self-regulation, the better their collaboration skills.
