PENERAPAN NILAI-NILAI KEMANUSIAAN SEBAGAI UPAYA PENCEGAHAN PERUNDUNGAN DI LINGKUNGAN PENDIDIKAN

Abstract

Bullying is a problem that may interfere with the establishment of a safe and comfortable educational environment. It can also affect students' psychological well-being, social relationships, and learning motivation. This study aims to describe experiences of bullying, its perceived impacts, and the application of human values as an effort to prevent bullying in educational settings. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach involving one informant who had experienced bullying at MAN 1. Data were collected through a direct interview and analyzed by grouping information according to the research themes. The findings indicate that the bullying experienced by the informant involved verbal and social behavior, including the spread of negative information, social exclusion, and conflicts related to social media. These experiences caused sadness, discomfort at school, and difficulties affecting learning motivation and social relationships. The study highlights the importance of applying human values, such as empathy, care, justice, tolerance, mutual respect, and non-discrimination. Bullying prevention also requires support from peers, schools, teachers, and families through education, assistance, and safe reporting mechanisms. Therefore, the application of human values can support the creation of an educational environment that respects every individual's dignity. Since this study involved only one informant, its findings are not intended to be generalized.
