MANAJEMEN KEPALA SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN MUTU LULUSAN DI PAUD INSAN MADANI GARUT

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the principal's management in enhancing graduate quality at PAUD Insan Madani Garut. It is grounded in the importance of early childhood education (ECE) graduate quality, which is measured not merely by school readiness but by holistic developmental readiness aligned with the characteristics of early childhood education. A qualitative approach utilizing a case study method was employed. Informants included one principal, five teachers, and three parents. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed via data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Data validity was reinforced through source and technique triangulation. The results indicate that enhancing graduate quality is achieved through four interconnected management functions: planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation. Findings reveal that the principal's management at PAUD Insan Madani Garut is not solely administrative but is systematically executed to support the quality of the learning process and child development. Planning is conducted participatively through the formulation of work programs and the analysis of student needs. Organizing involves task allocation and the coordination of educational resources. Implementation focuses on integrated learning, character building, creativity development, and parental involvement. Evaluation is carried out through monitoring child development, supervision, evaluation meetings, and program follow-up. Graduate quality is understood holistically, encompassing academic readiness, character, social-emotional skills, communication, and independence. The study's contribution lies in illustrating the link between the principal's management functions and ECE graduate quality, with a focus on comprehensive child development.
