Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the essential factors influencing students' academic achievement and the success of the learning process in elementary schools. However, many elementary school students still experience low learning motivation due to various external factors, particularly the learning environment. This study aims to analyze the influence of the learning environment on the learning motivation of elementary school students through a literature review approach. The method used in this study is a qualitative literature review by collecting, reviewing, and synthesizing relevant scientific journals, books, and other academic sources related to learning environments and learning motivation. The findings indicate that a conducive learning environment, including adequate learning facilities, positive teacher–student interactions, supportive peer relationships, and a safe and comfortable school atmosphere, has a significant positive influence on students' learning motivation. A positive learning environment encourages students to participate actively, increases their enthusiasm for learning, and improves their persistence in achieving learning objectives. Therefore, creating and maintaining a supportive learning environment is essential to enhance students' learning motivation and improve the quality of education at the elementary school level.
