EVALUASI IMPLEMENTASI MANAJEMEN BERBASIS SEKOLAH DALAM MENINGKATKAN STANDAR PROSES DAN STANDAR PENDIDIK DI SMK NEGERI 1 GOWA

Abstract

School-based management (SBM) gives schools the authority to plan and manage their own programs, but its success must be shown through improvements in process standards and educator standards. This article evaluates the implementation of SBM in improving process standards and educator standards at SMK Negeri 1 Gowa, a state vocational school. The study uses an evaluative descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with the principal, the deputy principal for curriculum, teachers, and the school committee, then analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, and compared across informant groups (source triangulation). The findings show that SBM principles are applied through work plans based on school self-evaluation, shared authority, involvement of teachers, the committee, and industry partners, and open budget reporting. Process standards are improved through deep-learning-based teaching materials, project-based learning, diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment, and scheduled academic supervision. Educator standards are improved through training, learning communities, encouragement of certification, and mapping of teacher development needs. The main constraints are uneven digital facilities, administrative workload, limited time to prepare teaching materials, and varied student readiness, while consistency of implementation across teachers still needs improvement. The findings come from one school and cannot be generalized.
