This Classroom Action Research aimed to improve students' collaboration skills through the implementation of a Cooperative Learning model assisted by the Life Cycle Trail Board media in learning the animal life cycle topic. The study was conducted in Class III of SDN Tenggilis Mejoyo I Surabaya and involved 28 students. The research employed the Kemmis and McTaggart model consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages, implemented in two cycles. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and collaboration skills assessment. Collaboration skills were assessed based on four indicators: contributing to group activities, cooperating and sharing responsibilities, respecting peers’ opinions, and demonstrating responsibility for group tasks. Data were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and descriptive qualitative techniques. The results showed that the implementation of the Cooperative Learning model assisted by the Life Cycle Trail Board media successfully improved students' collaboration skills in each cycle. The percentage of students achieving the expected collaboration criteria increased from 46.43% in the pre-cycle to 78.57% in Cycle I and 89.29% in Cycle II. The average collaboration skill score also increased from 2.36 in the pre-cycle to 2.93 in Cycle I and 3.39 in Cycle II. These findings indicate that the Cooperative Learning model assisted by the Life Cycle Trail Board media is effective in improving elementary school students’ collaboration skills in learning the animal life cycle topic.
