The use of cafes/working spaces as informal learning environments has become increasingly common among university students because they provide comfort, flexibility, and supporting facilities. However, unstable environmental conditions may also create distractions, resulting in a gap between the comfort offered and the ability of such environments to support students’ learning concentration. This study aims to analyze the use of cafes/working spaces as informal learning environments and to describe the academic concentration of students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD). This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire administered to 54 PGSD students who had experience studying in cafes/working spaces and were selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics to describe the informal learning environment and students’ academic concentration. The findings indicate that cafes/working spaces are used as alternative learning environments by most respondents. These environments provide support mainly through technological facilities and physical comfort, but distractions remain present and may affect students’ ability to maintain focus and complete academic tasks optimally. Therefore, cafes/working spaces can serve as alternative informal learning environments that support students’ academic activities. However, their use should be adapted to students’ needs, the characteristics of learning activities, environmental conditions, and students’ ability to manage their concentration.
