Abstract

Pure mathematics plays an important role in shaping students' formal reasoning skills at the higher education level. This article aims to provide an in-depth review of the role of pure mathematics in the development of formal reasoning skills and its relevance in learning contexts at higher education level. This research uses a literature study method to explore the contribution of pure mathematics in strengthening students' formal reasoning abilities.
