ANALISIS KURIKULUM MATEMATIKA DALAM MENGIDENTIFIKASI TANTANGAN DAN PELUANG PENGEMBANGAN KETERAMPILAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA

Abstract

Critical thinking skills are considered a key competency in mathematics education, but challenges in developing them in the mathematics curriculum still exist. This article aims to analyze the challenges and opportunities in developing students' critical thinking skills in the mathematics curriculum. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach involving mathematics teachers and education experts as participants. The results showed that an overly structured curriculum, pressure on standardized test results, and lack of teacher training were the main challenges. However, there are opportunities in problem-based learning, collaborative learning, and the use of technology to support the development of critical thinking skills. This research concludes the need for changes in teaching approaches and mathematics curriculum development to ensure that students' critical thinking skills can be developed optimally.
