Abstract

Indonesia, as a state based on law according to Article 1 Paragraph (3) of the 1945 Constitution, places law as the main foundation in national and state life. The concept of rule of law emphasizes that the law must be enforced fairly without discrimination based on social status or power. However, the implementation of the rule of law in Indonesia still faces various challenges, such as corruption, legal inequality, low public legal awareness, and political intervention in the judicial process. This article discusses the basic principles of the rule of law, its implementation in political, governmental, and social fields, as well as efforts to strengthen law enforcement through bureaucratic reform, legal education, and digital transparency such as e-court.
