The enthusiasm for learning is an important factor in the success of the educational process, but in practice, students often experience boredom which results in low learning outcomes. This also occurs in history learning which is often considered boring, thus reducing students' interest and understanding of the material. Therefore, innovations in learning methods are needed that can increase student interest and involvement. One alternative that can be used is the use of museums as learning resources. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of museum-based history learning in increasing students' enthusiasm for learning and cultural awareness. Museums as educational institutions not only function as places to store historical objects, but also as learning media that provide direct experiences to students. By utilizing museum collections, students can understand historical events in a more concrete and contextual way, thereby reducing boredom in learning. The results of the study indicate that museum-based learning can increase interest in learning, strengthen historical understanding, and foster a sense of nationalism and awareness of the importance of preserving local culture. In addition, the use of varied learning media, including multimedia and real objects, also supports the effectiveness of the learning process. In the context of globalization, this approach also plays a role in strengthening local culture-based character education to prevent it from being eroded by foreign cultural influences. Thus, utilizing museums as a method is more engaging, meaningful, and oriented toward building students' character and cultural identity.
