ANALISIS EFEKTIVITAS PENGELOLAAN SARANA DAN PRASARANA SERTA PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INVENTARISASI BERBASIS QR CODE DI SMK NEGERI 7 MEDAN

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of facilities and infrastructure management and to design the development of a QR Code-based inventory system at SMK Negeri 7 Medan. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were the Vice Principal for Facilities and Infrastructure Affairs and other stakeholders involved in school asset management. The findings indicate that the management of facilities and infrastructure at SMK Negeri 7 Medan has been implemented effectively through regular inventory, utilization, maintenance, and disposal activities. The school possesses various facilities that support the learning process, including classrooms, laboratories, a library, sanitation facilities, and vocational practice rooms. However, several challenges were identified, such as limited classroom capacity, the absence of permanent projectors in every classroom, limited electrical power capacity, and a manual inventory system that complicates asset tracking. As a solution, this study proposes the development of a QR Code-based inventory system that enables digital and real-time identification, tracking, and management of school assets. The implementation of this system is expected to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, transparency, and accountability of facilities and infrastructure management.
