A vision is one of the key elements in an organization that serves as a direction and guide for achieving long-term goals. In the context of change management, a vision serves as the foundation for an organization to plan various strategies and steps necessary to address the ever-evolving dynamics of the environment. This paper
aims to discuss the essence of vision within an organization, the process of achieving the vision, the identification of causes of vision failure, as well as case studies related to the implementation of vision within an organization. The method used in writing this paper is a literature review, examining various journal sources and scientific references relevant to the topic of discussion. The results of the study indicate that a vision plays a crucial role as the organization’s strategic direction, a tool for aligning objectives, and a source of motivation for organizational members. However, in practice, not all organizations are able to achieve the vision that has been formulated. This may be caused by various factors such as a lack of vision communication, weak leadership, and the absence of clear strategic planning. Therefore, organizations need to manage their vision effectively so that it can serve as the foundation for the process of organizational change and development.
