Road traffic and transportation, abbreviated as LLAJ, plays a crucial role in supporting national development and integration programs mandated by the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia. The implementation of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation has not been able to keep pace with and accommodate developments, issues, and legal needs in society. The author employed a normative juridical research method, which involved examining relevant laws, regulations, and legal works. The relevance of Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ) to the development and changes in online transportation needs to be reviewed. This law only regulates conventional transportation and does not address the development of app-based transportation facilities and their regulations. The app-based transportation bill, which has been included in the National Legislation Program (PROLEGNAS), should be followed up immediately to produce a transportation law that clearly and firmly regulates the regulations and matters related to online transportation.
